The project is currently owned by The AES with a stake of 49.07%.
Chiriqui-Los Valles is a run-of-river project. Chiriqui-Los Valles underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2006-2007.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 27.4MW nameplate capacity.
