Description

The project is developed and owned by Coolkeeragh ESB.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Low Sulphur Distillate.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in June 2005.

Contractors Involved

GE Power and VA Tech Elin EBG were selected to render EPC services for the dual-fuel fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 147MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 1 unit of 9FA gas turbine with 266MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

Standard Fasel Lentjes supplied steam boiler for the project.

Coolkeeragh ESB is the O&M contractor for thermal power project.
