The project was developed by Dominion Energy and Virginia Solar. The project is currently owned by Dominion Energy with a stake of 100%.
Correctional New Kent Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 260 acres.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 3,400 households, offsetting 22,830t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $39.648m.
The project consists of 88,209 modules, each with 320W nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in December 2017.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Amazon Web Services under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Strata Solar was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
