The project is developed and owned by Black Hills Energy. The company has a stake of 50%.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 50,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $79m.

John Wood Group was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 21 turbines, each with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.
