The project was developed by Luz de Viento and Parque eolico Puerto Real. The project is currently owned by EBM Netz.
The project generates 98,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 54,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $90.972m.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 14 units of V90-3.0 MW turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.
