Description
The project is currently owned by SaskPower International with a stake of 100%.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from TransGas System.
The project cost is $228m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in January 2003.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Saskatchewan Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 260MW.
Contractors Involved
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 90MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of PG 7121EA gas turbines, each with 85MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
