Description

The project was developed by Burns & McDonnell, ECCO III Enterprises and Skanska USA. The project is currently owned by Competitive Power Ventures with a stake of 50% and Diamond Generating.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel.

The project got commissioned in October 2018.

Burns & McDonnell, ECCO III Enterprises and Skanska USA were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of SGT6-5000F gas turbines, each with 230MW nameplate capacity.
