The project is being developed by Bihar State Hydroelectric Power and NHPC. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
Dagmara is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 5.87m and 5.28m respectively. The project is expected to generate 366.83 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $470.607m.
The hydro power project consists of 17 turbines, each with 7.65MW nameplate capacity.
The project will have 17 electric generators installed at the project site. The generator capacity is likely to be 5.56 MVA.
