Description

Darling Downs Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 250 hectares.

The project generates 255GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 36,000 households.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Origin Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years from 2019. The contracted capacity is 110MW.

Contractors involved

RCR Tomlinson was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JA Solar Holdings was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 423,360 modules each with 325W of nameplate capacity.
