The project is developed and owned by Guodian Xinjiang Kaidu River Hydropower Development.
Dashankou is a run-of-river project. The project generated 310 GWh of electricity.

The project construction commenced in 1985 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1991.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Chongqing Water Turbine Works was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of francis turbines, each with 20MW nameplate capacity.
Chongqing Water Turbine Works supplied 4 electric generators for the project.
