The project was developed by Ansasol and BayWa r e. The project is currently owned by MEAG Munich Ergo AssetManagement.

Don Rodrigo Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 270 hectares.

The project generates 300GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 93,000 households, offsetting 198,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in April 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Statkraft under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.047kWh for a period of 15.00 years, starting from 2019.

BayWa r e was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by Astroenergy and GCL Technology Holdings.

Huawei Technologies supplied its SUN2000-100KTL inverters to the project site.

Huawei Technologies supplied its SUN2000-60KTL inverters to the project site.

BayWa r e is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
