The project was developed by Guizhou Wujiang Hydropower Development. China Huadian and Guizhou Provincial Government are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
Dongfeng is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,025 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock diameter is 6m. Dongfeng underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2003-2005. The project generated 2,420 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $319.93m.

Power Purchase Agreement
