Description

The project is currently owned by ESB International with a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Statoil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in August 2002.

Contractors Involved

ESB International was selected to render EPC services for the dual-fuel fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 151.7MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 1 unit of GT26 gas turbine with 265MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

Stork Thermeq supplied steam boiler for the project.

ESB International is the O&M contractor for thermal power project.
