Description

The project is currently owned by Consolidated Edison Co of New York.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Transco,Spectra Pipelines.

The project generated 1,962,778MWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in April 2005.

Contractors Involved

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of 7F.04 turbines, each with 180MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the East River Repowering Project (East River Repowering Project Unit II).

Vogt Power International supplied steam boiler for the East River Repowering Project (East River Repowering Project Unit I).
