Description

The project is currently owned by Ente Vasco de la Energia.

Ekian Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 55 hectares.

The project generates 40,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households, offsetting 14,600t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $26.4m.

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in January 2020.

Contractors Involved

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 67,000 modules each with 355W of nameplate capacity.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by Nclave Renewable.
