Description

The project is currently owned by ESSAR Power Hazira with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Corex Gas. The fuel is procured from Essar Steel Hazira.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in July 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Essar Steel India under a power purchase agreement.

EPC Constructions India was selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project.

Siemens supplied electric generator for the project.

Burmeister & Wain Energy supplied steam boiler for the project.
