Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in June 2020 with 76 contracts and a 39.4% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 43 contracts and a 22.3% share and Generation Equipment with 36 contracts and an 18.7% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 30 contracts and an 83.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and an 11.1% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 2.8% share
  4. Project Implementation: one contract and a 2.8% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe generation equipment contracts in June 2020

Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 27 contracts with a 75% share, followed by solar with three contracts and an 8.3% share and thermal with three contracts and an 8.3% share.
