Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q2 2020 with 294 contracts and a 48.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 121 contracts and a 20% share and T&D Equipment with 102 contracts and a 16.9% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 102 contracts and an 84.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 13 contracts and a 10.7% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: four contracts and a 3.3% share
  4. Project Implementation: two contracts and a 1.7% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe generation equipment contracts in Q2 2020

Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 60 contracts with a 50.4% share, followed by thermal with 25 contracts and a 21% share and hydro with 13 contracts and a 10.9% share.
