Europe power industry tenders in April 2021: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in April 2021 with 28 tenders and a share of 25%, up 1% over the previous month and flat growth when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Germany with 14 tenders and a share of 12.5% and France with 13 tenders and a share of 11.6% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 28 tenders, followed by Germany with nine and France with six tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in April 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 23 tenders and a 37.7% share, followed by thermal with 11 tenders and an 18% share and biopower with nine tenders and a 14.8% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in April 2021, with 32 tenders, followed by Power Plant (27) and T&D Equipment (26).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 42 tenders and a 37.5% share
- Supply & Erection: 38 tenders and a 33.9% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 11 tenders and a 9.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: ten tenders and an 8.9% share
- Electricity Supply: eight tenders and a 7.1% share
- Others: two tenders and a 1.8% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 0.9% share.

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Ministere de la transition ecologique et solidaire (France): 250MW from one tender
- EAM (Germany): 18MW from one tender
- Germany Trade And Invest (Germany): 12.9MW capacity from one tender.
