Description
The project was developed by Fadhili Plant Cogeneration. Engie Energy Services International, Saudi Aramco Power and Saudi Electricity are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 30% and 30% respectively.
It is a ccgt with cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Fadhili Gas Plant (Khursaniyah Gas Fields).
The project cost is $1,200m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Saudi Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors Involved
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
The Gas fired project have been supplied by Doosan Skoda Power and Siemens.
Siemens supplied SGen6-1000A electric generator for the project.
GE Power supplied steam boiler for the project.
Siemens is the O&M contractor for thermal power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2020, for a period of 16 years.
