Description

The project is developed and owned by NTPC.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Naphtha. The fuel is procured from Hazira Bijaipur JagdispurGas Pipeline.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in September 1999.

Power Purchase Agreement

Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam are the power offtakers from the project.

Faridabad Combined Cycle Power Plant (Faridabad Combined Cycle Power Plant I Unit I) is equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 143MW nameplate capacity.

Faridabad Combined Cycle Power Plant (Faridabad Combined Cycle Power Plant I Unit II) is equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 143MW nameplate capacity.

Faridabad Combined Cycle Power Plant (Faridabad Combined Cycle Power Plant I Unit III) is equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 144MW nameplate capacity.
