Description
The project is currently owned by Florida Power & Light with a stake of 100%.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Florida Gas Transmission.
The project generated 8,004,440MWh of electricity.
Fort Myers Combined Cycle Power Plant (Fort Myers Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I Unit I) consists of 1 steam turbine with 156.2MW nameplate capacity.
Fort Myers Combined Cycle Power Plant (Fort Myers Combined Cycle Power Plant Block II Unit I) consists of 1 steam turbine with 436.1MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in November 1958.
