Description

The project is currently owned by Wisconsin Public Service.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Wisconsin Public Service Corporation.

The project generated 1,397,166MWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in June 2005.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Wisconsin Public Service under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 500MW.

Contractors Involved

Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant (Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with GE Power 7FB gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 198.9MW nameplate capacity.

Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant (Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with GE Power 7FB gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 198.9MW nameplate capacity.

Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant (Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit III) is equipped with Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions Tandem compound, Double-flow steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 221MW nameplate capacity.

Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions supplied electric generator for the project.

Nooter/Eriksen supplied steam boiler for the Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant (Fox Energy Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit I).
