Description

The project is currently owned by SC Electrocentrale Galati with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Distrigaz Sud SA.

Galati Cogeneration Plant (Galati Cogeneration Plant Stage I Unit II) consists of 1 steam turbine with 100MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in March 1969.

Technopromexport was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Galati Cogeneration Plant (Galati Cogeneration Plant Stage I Unit I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod PT-60-130/13 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 60MW nameplate capacity.

Galati Cogeneration Plant (Galati Cogeneration Plant Stage II Unit I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod T-100/120-130-2 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 105MW nameplate capacity.

Galati Cogeneration Plant (Galati Cogeneration Plant Stage II Unit II) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod PT-60-130/13 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 60MW nameplate capacity.

Galati Cogeneration Plant (Galati Cogeneration Plant Stage III Unit I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod T-110/120-130-4 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 105MW nameplate capacity.

Galati Cogeneration Plant (Galati Cogeneration Plant Stage III Unit II) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod T-110/120-130-4 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 105MW nameplate capacity.

NPO Elsib supplied TVF-60-2, Hydrogen Cooled electric generator for the project.
