Gaopingpu, China

Gaopingpu is a 92MW hydro power project. It is located on Fujiang river/basin in Sichuan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2006 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2010.

The project was developed by Sichuan Huaneng Fujiang Hydropower Co., Ltd. Huaneng Sihcuan Hydropower and Pingwu Everbright State-owned Investment (group) Co., Ltd. are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 95% and 5% respectively.

Gaopingpu is a reservoir based project. The project cost is $124.2m.

The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 46MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2006 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2010.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
