Description
The project was developed by Fujian Gaosha Hydro Power.
Gaosha is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 40 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 10m. The project generated 181.724 GWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 1995.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Chongqing Water Turbine Works was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of tubular turbines, each with 12.5MW nameplate capacity.
Chongqing Water Turbine Works supplied 4 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 12.5 MVA.
