The project is developed and owned by Hubei Qingjiang Hydroelectric Development. The company has a stake of 100%.

Geheyan is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 3,400 million cubic meter. The project generated 3,040 GWh of electricity.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Harbin Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of francis turbines, each with 300MW nameplate capacity.

Harbin Electric Machinery supplied electric generator(s) for the project.
