Description

The project is being developed by BrightSource Energy, Primergy Solar and Solar Partners XI. Primergy Solar and APG Asset Management are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Gemini Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 7,100 acres.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 400,000 households, to offset 1,500,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to NV Energy under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.038kWh for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

Kiewit Power Constructors is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Maxeon Solar Technologies will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to install 1,800,000 modules at the site.

The project will utilise single axis tracker that are likely to be supplied by Array Technologies.
