Description
The project was developed by Huaneng Hainan Power and is currently owned by Huaneng Power International with a stake of 91.8%.
Gezhen is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 122 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 22.5m. The project generated 130.1 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $131.47m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 1MW nameplate capacity.
The project has 2 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 1 MVA.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Zhefu Holding Group was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of kaplan turbines, each with 40MW nameplate capacity.
Fuchunjiang Fushi Hydropower Equipment supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 40 MVA.
