Description
The project is currently owned by U.S. Department of the Interior with a stake of 100%.
The net head of the project is 155m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 8 in number. Glen Canyon underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2005-2012. The project generated 5,000 GWh of electricity.
The project has 8 electric generators installed at the site.

Contractors Involved
GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 8 units of francis turbines, each with 165MW nameplate capacity.
