Looking at global power tenders activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the second position in terms of number of tenders during December 2021 with a 33.1% share.
The proportion of tenders by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 55 tenders and a 68.8% share
- Supply & Erection: ten tenders and a 12.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: six tenders and a 7.5% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five tenders and a 6.3% share
- Electricity Supply: two tenders and a 2.5% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: two tenders and a 2.5% share.

By GlobalDataComparing tenders activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 30 tenders and a share of 37.5% during December 2021, followed by Middle East and Africa with 18 tenders and a 22.5% share and North America with 14 tenders and a 17.5% share.
In fourth place was Europe with 14 tenders and a 17.5% share and in fifth place was South and Central America with four tenders and a 5% share.

Solar technology tenders in December 2021: Top companies by capacity
The top issuers of tenders in Solar technology for the month in terms of power capacity involved were:
- Minister of Energy Transition and Renewable Energies: 1,000MW from one tender
- Ministerio de Energia y Recursos Naturales No Renovables and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (India): 500MW from one tender
- NTPC (India): 260MW capacity from one tender.
