Looking at global power tenders activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the second position in terms of number of tenders during Q4 2021 with a 37.9% share.

The proportion of tenders by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 231 tenders and a 73.3% share
  2. Supply & Erection: 28 tenders and an 8.9% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and a 6% share

Comparing tenders activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Middle East and Africa held the top position with 105 tenders and a share of 33.3% during Q4 2021, followed by Asia-Pacific with 83 tenders and a 26.3% share and Europe with 65 tenders and a 20.6% share.
