Description
The project was developed by GMR Infrastructure. GMR Energy and Tenaga Nasional are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.
GMR Charanka Solar Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 125 acres.
The project generates 36,330MWh of electricity. The project cost is $68.251m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in March 2012.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 25MW.
Contractors Involved
Indu Projects was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company supplied modules with rated capacity of 235W.
