Description

The project was developed by BHE Renewables and Geronimo Wind Energy. The project is currently owned by BHE Renewables.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 120,000 households, offsetting 1,102,311.3t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $590m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2016.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Omaha Public Power District under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 400MW.

Contractors Involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 200 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 5 years.
