The project was developed by Winnipeg Electric Railway and is currently owned by Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board with a stake of 100%.
Great Falls is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project is 17.7m. Great Falls underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1978-1981.
