Description
The project was developed by Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds. The project is co-owned by RWE Renewables UK Swindon and SSE, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.
The project generates 1,898,467.2MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 530,000 households, offsetting 1,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $1,701.1m.

Power Purchase Agreement
RWE Renewables UK Swindon and SSE Energy Supply are the power offtakers from the project.
Contractors Involved
Fluor was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 140 units of SWT-3.6-107 turbines, each with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2013, for a period of 10 years.
