Description

The project is developed and owned by Saudi Electricity.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Crude Oil. The fuel is procured from Saudi Electricity Company.

The project cost is $389.34m.

The Gas fired project consists of 1 steam turbine.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Saudi Electricity under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Initec Energia and Saudi Services for Electro-Mechanic Works were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of 7F.03 gas turbine.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of 7F.05 gas turbine.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

GE Power supplied steam boiler for the project.

GE Power is the O&M contractor for thermal power project.
