Description

The project was developed by Bright Energy Investments and Synergy. Bright Energy Investments, GE Energy Financial Services and Synergy are currently owning the project.

Greenough River Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 244 hectares.

The project generates 103GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 16,300 households.

The project got commissioned in October 2012.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 1) is sold to Water under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 10MW.

First Solar was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 1) project. juwi Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 2) project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 1). The company provided 150,000 modules each with 85W of nameplate capacity.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 2). The company installed 300,000 modules at the site.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 16 of its CP XT 700 inverters to the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 1) site.

The Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 2) is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

First Solar is the O&M contractor for the Greenough River Solar Farm (Greenough River Solar Farm Phase 1) for a period of 15 years.
