Description

The project was developed by InfraVest, Taiwan Power and WPD Onshore. Vwind and WPD Onshore are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 65.5% and 34.5% respectively.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 71,407t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 64m high towers.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2009.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Taiwan Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.

InfraVest was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Guanyin (Guanyin IA) project. InfraVest was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Guanyin (Guanyin IB) project. InnoVent was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Guanyin (Guanyin IB) project.

Enercon was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 21 units of E-70 / 2,300 kW turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Enercon is the O&M contractor for the Guanyin (Guanyin IA). The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2009, for a period of 12 years.
