Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Hawa Akkar s.a.l.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 100,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $117.476m.

The project will have 85m high towers.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Ministry of Energy and Water, Lebanon under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

Vestas Wind Systems will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 16 turbines, each with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.
