Hayworth Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 160 acres.
The project generates 63,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 12,000 households, offsetting 70,500t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $58.608m.
The project got commissioned in December 2015.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to City of Palo Alto Utilities under a power purchase agreement for a period of 27 years. The contracted capacity is 27MW.
Exyte Energy was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 156,000 modules at the site.
Eaton supplied its power xpert inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by First Solar.
Swinerton Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
