Description
The project is currently owned by Xinxiang Tianjie BioPower Generation.
The project generates 142GWh electricity thereby offsetting 226,166t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $79.893m.
Henan Xinxiang Biomass Power Plant is a combined heat and power (CHP) project. Straw which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
The project consists of 2 turbines, each with 12MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in November 2009.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Central China Grid under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 127GWh.
Contractors Involved
Jinan Boiler Group supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 450Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 3MPa.
