Description

The project was developed by AE AMD Renewable Energy. AE AMD Renewable Energy and Old Mutual (South Africa) Holdings are currently owning the project.

Herbert PV Power Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 127 hectares.

The project generates 43,231MWh of electricity. The project cost is $53.5m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 22MW.

Contractors Involved

SunPower was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

SunPower was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 91,908 modules each with 240W of nameplate capacity.

KACO new energy supplied its Powador 39.0 TL3 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by IdeemaTec Deutschland.

AE AMD Renewable Energy and SunPower were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
