Description
The project was developed by AF-Consult and is currently owned by Euro BioEnergy Holdings.
The project generates 95GWh electricity thereby offsetting 80,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in September 2004.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
AF-Consult was selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.
NovusEnergy is the O&M contractor for the project.
