Hiraoka is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 42.43 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 1 in number. The penstock length is 152.37m. The penstock diameter is 6.574m.

The hydro power project consists of 1 turbine with 27.4MW nameplate capacity.

The project has 1 electric generator installed at the site.

Development Status

Contractors Involved

Taihei Dengyo Kaisha was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 26.8MW nameplate capacity.

Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions supplied 3 electric generators for the project.
