Huatacondo Solar PV Park is a 103MW solar PV power project. It is located in Tarapaca, Chile. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in September 2019.

Description

The project was developed by AustrianSolar Chile and Desarrollos Fotovoltaicos de Chile. Sojitz, Shikoku Electric Power and Eiffage are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 30% and 10% respectively.

Huatacondo Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 350 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 100,000 households, offsetting 124,650t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $200m.

The project consists of 431,200 modules, each with 250W nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in September 2019.

Contractors Involved

Eiffage Energia S L U was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

KACO new energy supplied its Powador XP500-HV- TL inverters to the project site.

Eiffage Energia S L U is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 30 years.
