The project was developed by Huainan Mining Group, Hubei Energy Group and Hubei Hongyuan Power Engineering. Huainan Mining Group and Hubei Energy Group are currently owning the project.

It is a steam turbine power plant.

Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase I) consists of 2 steam turbines with 300MW nameplate capacity.

Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase II) consists of 2 steam turbines with 600MW nameplate capacity.

The project got commissioned in April 1999.

Hubei Hongyuan Power Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase III Unit I) project. Hubei Hongyuan Power Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase III Unit II) project.

Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase III Unit I) is equipped with Dongfang Electric steam turbines.

Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase III Unit II) is equipped with Dongfang Electric steam turbines.

Dongfang Electric supplied steam boiler for the Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase III Unit I).

Dongfang Electric supplied steam boiler for the Hubei Ezhou Power Plant (Hubei Ezhou Power Plant Phase III Unit II).
