ILO Reserve Fria Power Plant, Peru

ILO Reserve Fria Power Plant is a 568.65MW dual-fuel fired power project. It is located in Moquegua, Peru. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in June 2013.

Description

The project is currently owned by Engie Energia Peru with a stake of 61.77%.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Reserve. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is diesel. In case of shortage of diesel the plant can also run on Natural Gas.

The project generated 6,986.42MWh of electricity. The project cost is $220.4m.

The project got commissioned in June 2013.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Sistema Electrico Interconectado Nacional under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

GE Power and Santos CMI were selected to render EPC services for the dual-fuel fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 3 units of 7F.04 gas turbines, each with 189.55MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
