Itobe Coal Power Project, Nigeria

The Itobe Coal Power Project is 2,400MW coal fired power project. It is planned in Kogi, Nigeria. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Description

The project is being developed by Powerchina International Group and Zuma Energy Nigeria. The project is currently owned by Zuma Energy Nigeria.

It is a steam turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from zuma coal mine.

Itobe Coal Power Project (Itobe Coal Power Project Phase I Unit A1) consists of 1 steam turbine with 150MW nameplate capacity.

Itobe Coal Power Project (Itobe Coal Power Project Phase I Unit A2) consists of 1 steam turbine with 150MW nameplate capacity.

Itobe Coal Power Project (Itobe Coal Power Project Phase I Unit B1) consists of 1 steam turbine with 150MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
