The project is developed and owned by Pacifico Energy.
Iwaki Mega Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 50 hectares.
The project generates 4.8GWh electricity thereby offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $105.471m.
Development Status
The project construction commenced in 2017 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in April 2020.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tohoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 42MW.
Contractors Involved
Toyo Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.
Toyo Engineering is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
